This is it.

The moment we feared most, and tried to prevent.

In a few days, Christie Quinn's New York City Council will dedicate an entire meeting to promote pre-born child killing, the agenda of Planned Parenthood, NARAL, and the taking down of our pro-life movements' 23 NYC Life center sites. 12 of them are run by EMC, which I have directed for 26 years.

This coming Wednesday, March 2nd, 2011 is the final vote by the full NYC City Council on Bill #371 which will regulate the advertising, signage, and the speech with clients of all the individual crisis pregnancy center groups in the 5 boroughs.

If City Council leader Christine Quinn succeeds in passing Bill #371, it will be devastating.

We need to make a final, valiant and prayer full push, and to rally one more time for Life, for truth and for freedom. And to keep the phone calls to the City Council going from all across the world.

To uphold the 1st Amendment.

To protect our freedom to speak without government interference.

To serve expectant mothers, and help their children vulnerable to abortion, without threat of fines, lawsuits, and closure.

To save the Life centers.

To save the children, and their mothers from abortion.

I invite you to take an hour, in your own time zone to pray in solidarity with us in NYC.

We assemble at the sidewalk on Broadway at Wall Street in Manhattan at 12:15PM-EST, depart at 12:30PM, and arrive at 12:45PM at the Emigrant Savings Bank at 49-51 Chambers Street and Rally till at least 1:15PM.

Please let us now whether you can join us in person or will make calls instead, or have to decline with an RSVP below.

For those of you coming by Subway on Wednesday, here are the trains nearest Trinity Church to get you there most quickly.

Take the 4,5, 2 or 3 Train to Wall Street
Take the 1, or R Train to Rector Street
Take the J or Z train to Broad Street

If you get this in time, I urge you to please offer a Day of Prayer and some fasting tomorrow in honor of the late Dr. Bernard Nathanson, the former abortionist, and great pro-liffe author, and video producer, whose funeral Mass will be at 10am in the morning at St. Patrick's Cathedral.

In 1996 I was present at his Baptism, Confirmation, and First Communion Mass in the Crypt below the main alter. I was his Confirmation sponsor.

As you at a great distance, and most likely cannot attend the Mass or the luncheon reception following in the basement of the Church of Our Saviour, at 38th St and Park Avenue, you are openly welcome.

I hope to count on your prayers on Wednesday.

In any case, please continue to make your Council member phone calls and send emails to the Priority Council list, found at the "Get More information" button above, or at www.SaveTheLifeCenters.com

DON'T FIGHT CITY HALL WHEN YOU CAN BE CITY HALL

Time: February 27, 2011 at 4pm to October 27, 2011 at 5pm
Location: Your home or office
Organized By: Richard Michael

Event Description:

from G. Edward Griffin
Project City Hall Launches!
DON'T FIGHT CITY HALL WHEN YOU CAN BE CITY HALL

Join G. Edward Griffin, the celebrated documentary film-maker and author of The Creature from Jekyll Island as he explains why this is the year to take back your local elected offices.
"At the pinnacle of all power centers is political office. So let's cut to the chase and say it as clearly as possible: RUN FOR OFFICE, especially at the local level. This call to action doesn't need a lot of explanation. Just do it."
To run a successful campaign is not difficult, but you must know how to do it and, just as important, how not to do it. Good advice and coaching are essential, but experienced advisors are hard to find. Fortunately, one of our Freedom Force members, Richard Michael, not only has the knowledge and experience, but he has volunteered to share it at no cost to anyone who wants to participate in Project City Hall. It doesn't get any better than that.
Richard will host a series of weekly conference calls that are open to everyone. His presentations will take approximately 15 minutes. The rest of the time will be Q&A. Each conference will focus on one or two topics, such as:

► Planning a successful campaign► Raising money without fear► Framing issues in your favor► Writing winning speeches► Finding what's important to voters
► Pitfalls of campaign-finance reporting► Recruiting volunteers► Avoiding the defensive► Handling questions from the media► Actually getting the votes to win

In addition to conference calls, there will be phone-based workshops in which candidates will seek Richard's advice on specific challenges in their campaigns. These workshops also are free but open only to those who have actually committed to run for office and have endorsed The Creed of Freedom.

PROJECT CITY HALL LAUNCH:Sunday, February 27, 2011, at 4 PM, Pacific Time. Teleconference phone number: (402) 237-2873   Passcode: 17760704

Urge Congress to Do What The President Will Not
February 24, 2011 | | Share with Friends
Dear Maureen,
On Wednesday, in a political move designed to pander to his liberal political base, President Obama announced that his Department of Justice will not defend a court challenge to the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) -- a law that was overwhelmingly enacted by Congress and signed by President Bill Clinton. The provision of the law currently under attack simply defines marriage as the union between one man and one woman for federal purposes.
President Obama's Justice Department has a constitutional obligation to defend federal law, even when he disagrees with the law. The Constitution requires that President Obama "shall take care that the laws be faithfully executed." By failing to defend DOMA, he is not satisfying this constitutional requirement. What will be the next law that he chooses not to enforce or uphold?
Now that President Obama has tossed aside this federal law, it is up to Congress to intervene and defend DOMA. Congress will be under political pressure from the far Left to leave the issue alone, but with inaction, Congress would join the President in his dereliction of duty.
Please urge your Member of Congress to stand up for the Defense of Marriage Act by supporting a resolution that authorizes Congress to intervene in the ongoing litigation challenging DOMA.
Sincerely,

Tony Perkins
President
P.S. Please share this email with as many friends as possible.

MD Marraige Amendment Hearing on Fri. 2/25/11 - Testify!

Note: If you plant to testify, please try to arrive early—before 11am—to sign up and get on the list early.  The other side is extremely organized, and will had people there before 9am on a frigid day.  If you can not get there early, other people can sign you up to testify, so please forward your name to me if you can’t get there early but still want to be on the list. If you miss your turn to testify, they will let you testify at the end.  Last week’s hearing ran until 8pm, but many people missed their chance to testify because they left early—please note that unless you are one of the “experts,”  the later you sign up, the later your testimony will be.  Please bring friends and family.  If anyone needs a ride to get to Annapolis, please let me know.]

We have been fighting the Senate bill 116 which redefines marriage.  Now the House of Delegates is taking up the issue with identical bills, House Bill 55 and House Bill 175.  Also Delegate Dwyer is sponsoring an amendment to the Maryland Constitution that defines marriage as  a man and a woman.  Marriage impacts everyone in the state.
Dear Supporters of Traditional Marriage:

We have a hearing date for the House Marriage Bills. Delegate Dwyer’s bill, the Constitutional marriage Amendment will be heard as well as the Same Sex Bills on Friday, February 25 at 1pm in the House Judiciary Committee room.

To read Delegate Dwyer’s bill: http://mlis.state.md.us/2011rs/bills/hb/hb0963f.pdf

There are two same sex marriage bills being heard that day and they are HB 55 : http://mlis.state.md.us/2011rs/bills/hb/hb0055f.pdf

Delegate Dwyer is asking for people willing to testify, either as a group, or individually, representing yourself as a citizen or if you represent a church or other organized group. You can testify for the Constitutional Amendment as well as against the same sex marriage bills.  If you testify, please be mindful of the language used; one senator claims that it was hateful language at the senate hearing that changed his vote.

Please contact me as soon as possible so that I can help with testimony and sign in. ( 410-841-3047 or Don.Dwyer@house.state.md.us ) If you have never testified in Committee before, below are FAQs to help familiarize you to the process. Please feel free to call if you have any further questions or need further clarification.

If you are providing written testimony- you will need to bring 40 copies of your testimony. I will not have the manpower to make the copies here.
You may submit written testimony, give oral testimony, or both.

This is a crucial part of the legislative process, having a strong showing in support of, or in opposition to any bill can and does make a difference. Appearing in Annapolis before the committee sends a much stronger message than emails, please bring your friends and family. Also please note, the push is on in the gay community to pass same sex marriage this year- they will be here in force.

Again, thanks for your committed support, I look forward to seeing you on the 25th.

Best Regards,
Louisa Baucom

Urgent Letter to Pastors & Prayer Appeal
February 23, 2011
Dear Wiley,
FRC President Tony Perkins has asked me to contact you to request your help in calling for an Emergency Prayer Vigil at the nearest state office of your U.S. Representative or one of your U.S. Senators at Noon on Friday. You can find their office locations here. Please take time to read this message carefully.
Planned Parenthood, the nation's largest abortion business, receives over $350 million of our tax-dollars each year. They have been exposed over and over again in the past couple years for their unseemly activities and often criminal actions. The most devastating expose came recently in New Jersey when a Planned Parenthood manager was caught on camera offering help to actors (posing as a pimp and prostitute who were operating an underage prostitution ring). She offered abortions and other services for their underage sex workers; and she even advised them how to keep their child prostitutes working and producing income, while they were recovering from abortions. And she illegally promised confidentiality.
The veil has been pulled back! We can no longer deny what is happening. We are accountable to pray and to exercise our leadership to make sure our elected leaders do not continue turning a blind eye to the women and children who are being exploited.
Again, the ugliest aspect of this story is that you and I, and our fellow Christians in churches across America, are supporting Planned Parenthood with our tax dollars -- against our will and in violation of our consciences.
Now, for the first time, the U.S. House of Representatives has passed a Continuing Resolution (CR) that includes an amendment by Congressman Mike Pence (R-Ind.) to deny Planned Parenthood further federal taxpayer funding!
It will require a miracle for this amendment to make its way through the Senate and it will require a major heart change for the most pro-Planned Parenthood President in the history of our nation, to sign it.
Christians have tolerated this for far too long, too many babies have died and too many women have been hurt, but our prayer and action could well make the difference.
Prayer Vigil this Friday, February 25th, Just Two Days Away -- Tony is asking pro-life pastors and churches to help turn the tide with extraordinary prayer for the next several days during this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. He is asking pro-life Christians across America to take just one hour to pray outside their Congressperson or one of their Senators' local offices this Friday. Tony hopes you and your people will visit your elected official's office and stand vigil just outside in unobtrusive prayer for one hour -- from Noon until 1 PM. You can go as a group or alone but do please go!
Please help us make sure that there is sufficient prayer between now and when the Senate deals with this issue with prayer outside every Representative and Senator's office this Friday (find their office locations here). No protest, no signs, no controversy -- just heartfelt prayer.
Also, Tony and Rep. Mike Pence will be conducting a conference call tonight to discuss this issue with some of FRC's closest friends and supporters. Tony would like you to join in the call (Important: please do not forward this number to others, as this is not an open call). At 8:30 PM Eastern, tonight (7:30 Central, 6:30 Mountain, 5:30 Pacific) dial 877-229-8493 to connect directly. The caller ID code to enter is: 15950.
If you would write a brief note urging your network to participate, you can point them to this link for more information.
Please join us in this effort. God performs miracles in answer to prayer. He knows we need one now. Stand with us as we pray for the end of our tax dollars being sent to the nation's largest abortion provider.
I know this is not much lead time, but I hope you realize the urgency of this matter and that you can motivate some of your praying people to join us (Mt 18:18-20).
Thank you!
Sincerely,

Rev. Pierre Bynum

Take Action Against the “Mini-Bathroom Bill” of Massachusetts

Friends,

Last Friday, with no public announcement and in a private ceremony with transgender activists, Governor Deval Patrick signed an executive order – a Mini "Bathroom Bill" – giving state employees special protection if they identify as “transgender.”

Our lawyers continue to assess the full scope of this sweeping order, but one thing is for sure, we cannot allow it to stand without a fight. The Governor has chosen to act against the voters and to bypass the Legislature, which has up until now refused to approve the full "Bathroom Bill." It is also possible that his decision will have an immediate impact in our public schools.

Please, take action RIGHT NOW by contacting your state senator and state representative and urging them to OPPOSE the "Bathroom Bill." Be sure to express your opposition to the Governor's executive order. CLICK HERE to send your email.

Additionally, call Governor Patrick and tell him to reverse his "Bathroom" Executive Order. The Legislature and the people must have the last word when it comes to their safety, privacy and modesty, especially in bathrooms. Governor Patrick's office can be reached at 617.725.4005.

Remember, all a person has to do is say he “identifies” as transgender person to receive special protections.  That means if a man walks into a ladies bathroom, it will be “discriminatory” to even question why he is there – whether he appears transgender or not.  This is dangerous, and instead of solving real problems like creating jobs and fixing our economy, our Governor is courting special interests and making the Commonwealth less safe.

Please use the link below to send your legislators an email opposing the "Bathroom Bill" and Governor Patrick's executive order.

Thank you,

Kris Mineau

6-Year-Old Hauled to Psych Ward Despite Parent’s Wishes

                                                                               Stock Photo
According to this article at Today.com last week, a little boy’s Los Angeles school sent him to the psychiatric ward against his mom’s wishes. Anxiety over his dad’s deployment to Iraq led the boy to “[draw] a violent picture and [write] that he wanted to die,” which prompted the school’s reaction.

When the mother told officials she would have the boy see a therapist that day, she was told it was already out of her hands – the ambulance was on its way.

The tyke spent 48 hours in the ward before finally being released to his mother’s care, the trauma of this experience only compounding the trauma of his father’s departure.

ParentalRights.org president Michael Farris asks rhetorically, “Who should decide what level of treatment is necessary? Obviously, I think parents are the right choice. Clearly, giving school and other government officials complete control in these kinds of situations goes too far."

The proposed Parental Rights Amendment to the U.S. Constitution would help draw a more reasonable line by affirming that “[t]he liberty of parents to direct the upbringing and education of their children is a fundamental right.”

Please pass this email to others you know who might find this as outrageous as you and I do, and urge them to visit parentalrights.org/petition to sign the petition supporting the Amendment.

Also, if you haven’t done so lately, consider making a donation to support our efforts to halt this kind of erosion of parental rights and the sovereignty of the American family.

Sincerely,
