ALERT! House bill would bar federal lawsuits against states that assist with immigration enforcement! | |
Rep. Diane Black (R-TN) will soon introduce a bill to thwart the Obama administration’s lawsuits against states that seek to enforce laws against illegal immigration. The legislation, a sibling bill to S 1856, would prohibit the Department of Justice from using taxpayer funds to sue states over their immigration enforcement laws.
It specifically mentions laws passed in Arizona, Alabama, Missouri, Oklahoma, Utah, Indiana, South Carolina, and Georgia. Attorney General Holder has already filed suits against South Carolina, Utah, Alabama, and Arizona, and is reviewing immigration laws passed by other states.
Urge your House member to protect states from these outrageous federal lawsuits. State efforts are necessary only because the federal government has failed in its obligation to enforce immigration laws.
ACTION NEEDED
Ask your Representative to join this effort to bar these odious lawsuits against states that assist in efforts against illegal immigration.
