Alert! Call Congressional Leaders to Overturn the Obama Administrative Amnesty!‏

Alert! Call Congressional leaders to overturn the Obama administrative amnesty!

It is bad enough that the Obama Administration has chosen to implement much of the DREAM Act amnesty by executive fiat, but the problem is compounded by the failure of Congress to react against the usurpation of its power to make laws.

The administration said the new policy would cover 800,000 illegal aliens, but a new estimate from the Migration Policy Institute—after reviewing the procedures announced by Homeland Security—puts the number at 1.8 million.

Please call the Congressional leadership over the next week and demand that they stop the amnesty and restore the rule of law to our immigration policy. Use the following talking points:
  • Congress is responsible for establishing immigration laws. For Obama to impose an amnesty that he could not get through Congress is undemocratic.
  • HR 5957 and HR5953 would block the Secretary of Homeland Security from deferring deportations or from limiting the enforcement of our immigration laws.
  • Millions of Americans are unemployed. Issuing work permits to a million illegal immigrants is an insult to unemployed American citizens and legal immigrants.
  • Each new amnesty scheme encourages more illegal immigration. We must enforce our immigration laws, not ignore them.
PLEASE CALL:
  1. John Boehner, Speaker of the House (202) 225-0600
  2. Eric Cantor, House Majority Leader (202) 225-2815
  3. Nancy Pelosi, House Minority Leader (202) 225-4965
  4. Harry Reid, Senate Majority Leader (202) 224-3542
  5. Mitch McConnell, Senate Minority Leader (202) 224-2541

PRA Has 55 Cosponsors - Please Call Today

June 20, 2012

As of this morning, the Parental Rights Amendment in the House (HJRes110) now has 55 cosponsors, including lead sponsor Rep. Trent Franks of Arizona. While that is an exciting number, and well up from the 36 we had a week ago, there are still nearly twice that many to be readily secured.

That’s because 82 former cosponsors and 26 freshmen who pledged their support still have not added their names to this vital resolution. That’s 108 who have expressed support in the past but who are dragging their feet today.

Our hearing in the Constitution Subcommittee of the House Judiciary Committee is less than a month away. The best way to see success in the committee is to show the popularity of the measure in the House as a whole through cosponsor support.

So now we are asking you to call your congressman (or call them again). Remind them of their past support or their pledge of support, if applicable. Point out to them that there are already 55 sponsors on board. And tell them why you passionately support the Parental Rights Amendment.

If your Congressman has never expressed support, that’s okay: Call them, too! Six current cosponsors of HJRes110 are freshman representatives who had not pledged to support the PRA beforehand. Perhaps your Congressman can be persuaded as these were to join the swelling ranks of PRA supporters.

Here’s what we’re asking you to do:

1. Check our website: Click on your state at ParentalRights.org/states. Be sure to check again each time before you call, as your page will be updated on an ongoing basis as new sponsors are added.

2. If your Congressman is not yet signed on, call his Washington, D.C., office. (Phone number is on our website; see #1.) Tell his staff that you support the Parental Rights Amendment, and that you will be watching for him to sign on as a cosponsor of HJRes110 (“H. J. Rez-one-ten,” or House Joint Resolution 110). Then, call them back every couple of days until his support is secured. But do be courteous each time you call.

3. Ask friends and family to call, too. Pass along this email and invite them to visit our website or watch the film at OverruledMovie.com (the 30-minute or the 7-minute version) to understand why the PRA is so important.

4. If your Congressman is already signed on, consider sending a note or card of thanks to one of his local offices. (Mail going into the D.C. office is delayed by as much as 3 months due to security measures, so we don’t recommend you send mail to that address.)

Together we can persuade Congress to secure parental rights for this and future generations!

Sincerely,

Michael Ramey

If America's Christians rise up, there's still a chance, and there's still time:

Revving up Novermber campaigns in several huge states where the ballot-access battle has been won, Tom's interviewed by Bob Enyart  (who became a supporter based on the chat) and lets the fur fly.  Don't let "he can't win" be a self-fulfilling prophecy - not among those who know America can't win with any of the wicked ("Republicrat," "Libertutionalist") alternatives.

If America's Christians rise up, there's still a chance, and there's still time:

Send Michael Behenna A Birthday Card

To the thousands of Michael Behenna supporters,
Many of you have been asking about the hearing before the Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces (CAAF) that was held on April 23, 2012.  While it is difficult to get a read on how the judges will ultimately rule, overall we felt good about it.  The questions that the judges asked made it clear that they had thoroughly reviewed Michael’s case.  In the first few minutes of Michael's attorney's narrative one Judge started a barrage of comments and questions that appeared to be against Michael's position.  But later the same Judge jumped all over the government counsel on the confusing jury instruction given by the trial judge concerning self-defense, at one point declaring “I’ve read the instructions about four times and it is very confusing …..and I’m a Judge of this court”; to which the government counsel admitted “Your honor, it is confusing.”  Another judge backed the government counsel into a corner more than once and got him to concede that there was no evidence submitted at trial that Michael had ‘illegally’ assaulted Mansur in the culvert by pointing a weapon at him.  We thought that was very positive.  The Court has no timeline for returning a decision, but given that this court set the hearing so quickly we believe they will not take too long to render their decision.
May 18th will mark the fourth birthday Michael will spend behind bars in Ft. Leavenworth military prison.   On that day Michael will turn 29 years old.  While he will not have cake for this birthday he will have his family with him as well as his unwavering belief that justice has not abandoned him and that she will soon come to set him free.  Despite all he has been through he remains hopeful that the civilian justices who preside on CAAF will come to a far different conclusion than the previous Army courts.
Michael’s hope is further encouraged by the many cards, letters and prayers that you have delivered to him these past several years of his imprisonment.  There are days when Michael receives more mail than his entire pod (about 70 prisoners).  Michael is not one to seek attention, but those cards and letters provide a significant inspiration and boost to his mental and spiritual being.  Please remember him on his 29th birthday with a card, letter, or prayer as we need him to stay strong while we wait for the court’s decision.  Remember that your letters to him do not need to be lengthy.  Just let your heart tell you what to write to a warrior whose only mistake was that he cared too much for his men.
Letters and cards can be sent to Michael at:

Petition Name: Tell WKU: Condoms on Crosses Is Not Art

Description:
Early this morning campus police at Western Kentucky University (WKU) refused to stop vandals from draping condoms on the top of small crosses in the stadium – these crosses, 3,700 of them, symbolize how many unborn children die through abortion each day in the US and were installed by the Hilltoppers for Life group on campus. The vandals were art students who claimed the condoms were part of an art project.
The Hilltoppers for Life group members, who had been keeping an eye on their display through the night in reaction to similar acts of vandalism to pro-life displays at other campuses including nearby Northern Kentucky University, asked the art students to stop and then called campus police.  The students refused and the campus police just stood by and watched.  The police claimed that they, “couldn’t do anything because the condoms aren’t actually vandalization,” even though the crosses are the property of Hilltoppers for Life and they have the administration’s permission for their display.
Claiming art as vandalism is disingenuous and disturbing at best. The desecration of the crosses at WKU is sacrilegious, offensive, and borders on a hate crime. While we have seen vandalism before at other campuses across the nation, it is not uncommon for students to face opposition of this nature but usually the campus police do help out and stop the vandalism rather than hide behind some ‘artistic expression’ excuse.
Take action and express your outrage over the vandalism and desecration of  Western Kentucky University (WKU) Hilltoppers for Life’s cross display by:

1) Adding your name to this petition which will be sent to the WKU Administration.
2) Call or Email WKU Police Captain of Professional Standards at his non-emergency number, 270-745-2543 or joe.harbaugh@wku.edu to express your outrage and demand the university apologize to WKU Hilltoppers for Life and to train the campus police that putting condoms on some one else's crosses is not art or freedom of expression, it is desecration and vandalization.
3) Forward this petition on to friends, so that WKU will get the message loud and clear that condoms on crosses is not art!

Sign The "Protect our Children's Innocence Petition"

Dear Pro-Family American,
The Radical Homosexuals infiltrating the United States Congress have a plan:
Indoctrinate an entire generation of American children with pro-homosexual propaganda and eliminate traditional values from American society.
That’s why I need you to act quickly to protect our nation’s youth.
I’m helping lead the fight to defeat the radical homosexuals but I need your help.
Please join me by taking a public stand AGAINST this outright assault on our nation's youth by signing the Protect our Children's Innocence Petition below!

For the Family,

Eugene Delgaudio
Public Advocate of the U.S.

Protect our Children's Innocence Petition
Whereas:   Schools should be institutions of learning, dedicated to the unbiased and unpoliticized pursuit of knowledge equally for all students; and
Whereas:   The mis-named "Student Non-Discrimination Act" actually DOES discriminate by creating special protected classes of students; and
Whereas:   More accurately-named the "Homosexual Classrooms Act," the "Student Non-Discrimination Act" targets children with homosexual propaganda far over their heads in an attempt to sexually confuse and corrupt; and
Whereas:   Government should have NO AUTHORITY to force the Homosexual Agenda on the American people, much less their children;
Therefore:  As your constituent and a concerned pro-family voter, I strongly insist you oppose the so-called "Student Non-Discrimination Act," and make every attempt to see it defeated.
